“It’s not what you look at, it’s what you see”
Are you so busy looking that you are not really seeing?
We can spend a lot of time looking for signs, answers, magic, confirmation or proof and get discouraged when they don’t arrive. But what if it is all a matter of perception? What if, instead of looking, which has a expectation associated with it, we focus on what we are seeing?
To truly see, we need to be present. We need to see what is before us without expectation, fear, hope or preconceptions.
When we see rather then look, the answers, proof or validation can magically appear! That leaf you have just had your attention drawn to may be a sign, the shape of the cloud may show you an answer, or perhaps the bird you can hear has a message for you.
The trick is to see or observe and then allow the picture unfold or be created. To let the bits of the puzzle come together. This cannot happen if we think the picture or puzzle will look a certain way.
So this week, why not see the world and all that crosses your path without judgement or expectations, with an open heart, and a sense of wonder?
