Acceptance, Letting go and Rejoicing

Tree Fuschia - Associated with the Empress Tarot key

This week I see the departure of a very dear friend as she responds to the call of her soul.

We connected at our first Medicine Woman training over 14yrs ago and have forged an incredibly deep and supportive bond of friendship and love over the years as we navigated the trials and jubilations of personal growth that life and the various healing, shamanic and other extensive training brought us.

Many have asked how will I be with her move out of Auckland.

While part of me will be sad that she is no longer 'just down the road' (7kms to be exact!), I am absolutely thrilled that she is following her soul's prompting and creating a new life for herself in a place that soothes and nourishes her soul.

For those that we love, the tight holding of them in our lives can prevent them from moving to where they need to be.

Love without ties

An example of this was shown to me many years ago in a shamanic vision I saw related to my father.

My dad died after an illness relatively young at 66yrs, with a heavy and sad heart.

For which I was also sad for him - specifically that he was unable to find the joy in life for at least the last 3rd of his life. When I thought of him, I felt pity and sorrow.

During the shamanic journey, I saw that my pity and sorrow for his life on this earth were keeping him stuck from fully enjoying the realm where he now was.

In that moment, I realised the impact of our thoughts and feelings on those around us, whether on this life plane or not.

Of course I was sad at his passing, but projecting my interpretation of his life, pain and suffering was not mine to do.
I needed to look after my own pain and sadness, so he was free to have the joy that was his.

This holds true for all that is released in my life.

Holding the space of joy

So, for my very dear friend, I hold the space of joy as she embarks upon a new adventure that is of her own making so it is not tainted by my interpretation, projections or expectations.

I love her as I do all those dear to me, but the love I hold for all is upheld and flavoured by the knowledge we are all souls with our own individual soul path to walk. Allowing us all to be free.

Plus technology is a wonderful tool to help us connect with those that we love that are not just down the road! And I get a road trip to help her move in.

Love is not bound by time and distance as expressed by this quote:

“There is no distance too far between friends,
for friendship gives wings to the heart.”
Unknown

May we all know the grace, love and joy that is ours as we walk our own soul's path and allow the same for those we love.

With much love and great joy.
